Leg measurement: Please sit barefoot and upright on a chair so that your foot rests flat on the floor, with your knee bent at a 90° angle. Wear the breeches and riding socks you normally use for riding. Ideally, have another person take the measurements for you. Measure your calf at the widest point of your stronger calf. When choosing the calf size from the chart, select at least one centimeter smaller, as leather will stretch with use. Then measure the length from your heel (barefoot) to the back of your knee. Add approximately 2 cm to the measured length, as the shaft will drop a few centimeters with wear. Example: If you measure a calf width of 35 cm at the widest point and a calf height of 46 cm, this means: width 35 - 1 cm = 34 cm and height 46 + 2 cm = 48 cm. The correct size in the chart would therefore be 34/48. The shaft should fit snugly and be slightly taller in height. The leather will stretch at least 1 cm in width, and the shaft will drop several centimeters in height. We therefore recommend using a heel lift during the first few weeks.
